Welcome to River of Life Ministries International, the best missions training center in Southwest Missouri. I am Kay Lenz, founder and director of the school. We are training missionaries, preparing them to answer the call. The curriculum is based on more than 16 years of ministry experience, over 12 years of missionary experience, and 2 years living with primitive peoples. We are nondenominational, leaving the door open to work with all denominations. We do not teach church doctrine. We teach how to be a successful missionary. There are plenty of Bible schools, but few missions schools to train the missionary. Most seminaries and Bible schools have little, if no teaching on missions. Most missionaries go to the field, totally unprepared for the things they will face.

We lived for two years among the Kuna Indians who inhabit a chain of islands off the coast of Panama, helping to raise up a church and then turn it over to an indigenous pastor. We have contacts with pastors from Guatemala to Panama and still have contacts to work with the Kuna as well as other indigenous tribes in Central America for training experience. We lived for 7 years in Panama and 18 months in Guatemala.

In January, 2003 we established River of Life Missions Training Center. We have had two classes graduate in Panama and we had 2 classes in Guatemala. We have relocated the training center to Joplin, Missouri, the center of the US, because we feel Americans are more likely to become missionaries. We can also offer assistance in learning Spanish. This is a school of excellence for those who are called to be missionaries. Students graduate prepared to go into all the world.

River of Life is more than just a school, it is a mission's training center, offering practical training as well. We are also a mission's organization and offer student placement after graduation. We are a 501(c)3 nonprofit ministry.
