I attended Life Discovery Bible Institute,
under T.L. Osborn from 1988 to 1990. I have been a licensed minister since
1990. I am now an ordained minister and president of River of Life
Ministries, Intl. I first came to Panama in 1994 and began working with the Kuna
Indians who inhabit the chain of islands off the
Caribbean coast of Panama called the San Blas islands. I made several more trips over
the next 3 years, bringing my children. In 1997, we moved to Panama,
living on the island of Nalu Nega in San Blas. We lived two years with the
Kuna, living in a cane hut with a thatch roof, complete with rats at
night, and a sand floor, no electricity and no running water. When the
Kuna passed laws that only Kuna could pastor churches, we felt it to no longer
be a fruitful field for us to live there full time. We came to the city
and after making many connections
with the churches in Panama, we started a mission's training center. We
have also made connections with other pastors in Central America, as far
as Guatemala. We moved to Guatemala in May 2004 and held classes there.
We relocated to the States in December, 2005.
My son, Bill, now 25, is a graduate of a Panamanian Bible school
associated with Victory Bible Institute of Tulsa, Oklahoma. He speaks the
Spanish language fluently, and is an excellent translator. He has
translated for groups, such as Teen Mania and other
missionary groups.
My daughter, Audra, now 22, was in the first graduating class of
River of Life Missions school. She is the secretary for River of Life.
Both Bill and Audra are involved in the ministry with me. We are a
ministry team.
